APRIL 2026
Where to begin?
“Knowing you’re not alone makes the road less lonely.”
How arrogant would I sound if I simply assumed you’d all benefit from my life story and started narrating it? Exactly.
Luckily, that’s not what I’m here to do. Still, I do believe I have something worth sharing.
We are constantly looking for role models—hoping to learn from other people’s mistakes, decisions, failures, and successes. I have mine, but still in pursuit.
Today, anyone can declare “I’m a mentor, listen to me!” But how do we really know they have anything substantial say, or teach us?
I believe it’s all in the story. Yet no one wants to read about a mystical revelation that convinced someone they were sent from heaven specifically for you. A little detached, is it? So where does one begin? How do you tell a story others can relate to, care about, and maybe even grow from?
After years of documenting my life—the good, the bad, and the ugly—I reached a point where opening it to the public felt right.
Is it because I’m special?
Because I crave fame or eternal glory?
Because I’m bored?
In short: no.
Why then?
Each of us has his own journey- Some are colorful and risky, full of adventure, glorious failures and hard-earned lessons. Others are safer, closer to home, predictable and comfortable. Both paths carry challenges. While most of us (myself included) prefer predictability—psychology agrees—my life carried me far beyond anything I planned and placed me right here, in front of you.
(And if you’re still reading—hurray. Please continue.)
Today, anyone with a laptop can become a blogger, influencer, or educator. So what gives me the right or authority to claim any title suggesting I can offer something to others?
The answer is simple: life experience.
Through reflection and lived hardship, I’ve learned that lessons earned and applied are the only real credentials that really matter. I’m proud to shape my life story into something that might help others—those seeking understanding, identification, motivation, or strength. Knowing you’re not alone makes the road less lonely.
Instead of starting at the beginning, I chose to distill the experiences that shaped me most. These reflections became the “chapters” of this (b)log—my attempt to translate what life taught me into something useful for others.
So what is my message?
After two decades as a nomadic artist—I know how essential it is to feel seen for your hard work, supported for your efforts and aspirations, and understood as you walk your path to self-discovery.
Whether you’re a performing artist or simply someone living far from where you began, sharing my journey is my way of saying: you’re not alone. You matter. And you can face what life throws your way.
My hope is that here, you’ll feel seen, supported, and strong enough to keep pursuing your goals and dreams.
Yours,
Shachar
I would love to hear from you!
